Job summary

1Life Management Solutions Ltd invites applications for a Duty Manager to lead leisure centre operations. You will oversee health and safety, staff development, and customer care while delivering engaging programmes and events.

As a key holder, you’ll manage shift rosters, supervise poolside activities, and ensure financial and QA processes support high performance and excellent service delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in health and safety management
• Ability to develop and deliver leisure programmes
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Experience in staff training and development
• Knowledge of cash handling and financial processes
• Familiarity with quality assurance systems

Responsibilities

• Provide a clean, high quality facility and exciting Leisure Centre programmes.
• Act as a member of the Leisure Centre Management Team on a shift rota.
• Work poolside to deliver centre programme and supervise activities.
• Ensure health and safety procedures are carried out at all times.
• Deputise for the Contract Manager/Centre Manager as required.
• Assist in staff training and development.
• Ensure contract objectives and financial systems are implemented.
• Provide teaching and coaching courses and recruit qualified coaches.
• Identify feasible new activities for the Centre.
• Inform staff of activities and events and maximise participation.
• Monitor cost effectiveness and rectify underperformance.
• Produce performance records, statistics, targets and reports.
• Assist in marketing/publicity and distribution of materials.
• Ensure adequate staff for safe operation and quality assurance.
• Coach and teach as required and assist with events.
• Act as main key holder for opening/closing and emergencies.
• Undertake regulatory requirements and other duties as needed.
