Job summary

Everybody Health & Leisure is hiring a Duty Manager for Poynton Leisure Centre. The role leads shift operations, ensures safety, delivers high‑quality visitor experiences, and supports bookings and financial processes.

You will oversee day‑to‑day operations, manage the team on shift, and maintain service standards while pursuing external accreditations such as Quest and Investors in People. DBS checks apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing or operational role.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Confidence in leading a team and making decisions.
• Proactive approach to maintaining safety and service standards.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing day-to-day operations to ensure services run efficiently.
• Leading the team on shift and supporting a positive, customer-focused working environment.
• Taking responsibility for health and safety, customer care, and incident management.
• Managing bookings, supporting financial processes, and ensuring compliance with centre procedures.
• Contributing to external accreditations such as Quest and Investors in People.
• Completing site-specific checks and maintaining high operational standards across all areas.
