Job summary

Everybody Health & Leisure is seeking a Duty Manager to support the smooth operation of Holmes Chapel Leisure Centre. The role involves leading a small shift team, ensuring safety, and delivering a high-quality visitor experience.

The position is a part-time, temporary fixed-term contract for 12 months, with an average of 6.33 hours per week (weekend rota). DBS checks are required; closing date 23 September 2026 and interview on 30 September 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing or operational role
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Confidence in leading a team and making decisions
• Proactive approach to maintaining safety and service standards

Responsibilities

• Overseeing day-to-day operations to ensure services run efficiently
• Leading the team on shift and supporting a positive, customer-focused working environment
• Taking responsibility for health and safety, customer care, and incident management
• Managing bookings, supporting financial processes, and ensuring compliance with centre procedures
• Contributing to external accreditations such as Quest and Investors in People
• Completing site-specific checks and maintaining high operational standards across all areas
