Job summary

Novax Recruitment Ltd. is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager for a Leicester-based role in structural steelwork and construction.

You will own contracts from planning through completion, ensuring on-time delivery, profitability and compliance with HSEQ standards. You will coordinate clients, contractors and internal teams, manage programmes and commercial performance, and support tender submissions where needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing contracts or projects in structural steelwork.
• Strong understanding of steelwork fabrication, installation and drawings.
• Experience managing client relationships, main contractors, subcontractors and site teams.
• Knowledge of NEC forms of contract.
• Strong commercial awareness: costs, valuations, variations and obligations.
• Experience developing and maintaining project programmes and managing risks.

Responsibilities

• Manage the safe, timely and profitable delivery of allocated steelwork projects from start to finish.
• Coordinate company personnel, subcontractors and site teams to ensure projects are resourced and delivered to programme.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, principal contractors, design teams and other stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress, maintain programmes and provide updates against milestones.
• Manage project risks, resolve issues and identify opportunities to improve performance and profitability.
• Work with Quantity Surveyors on valuations, payments, contractual notices and variations.
