Job summary

Novax Recruitment Group is seeking a Sales Manager with experience in structural steel fabrication to develop relationships, identify opportunities and bring profitable work into the business. You will nurture new business while looking after and growing existing client relationships, talking to contractors, developers and engineers to understand upcoming projects and secure early involvement in bids.

Qualifications

• Proven sales/business development experience within a structural steel fabrication business.
• Strong understanding of structural steelwork, fabrication and project delivery.
• Existing contacts across contractors, developers, main contractors or related construction sectors.
• Track record of developing new business and winning work.
• Confidence discussing steelwork requirements with both commercial and technical contacts.
• Ability to understand drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Commercial awareness and understanding of project margins.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to meet clients and attend project meetings.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business while looking after and growing existing client relationships.
• Speak with contractors, developers, engineers and other industry contacts to understand upcoming projects and secure early involvement.
• Identify opportunities, qualify enquiries and work with estimating, engineering and project teams to ensure what’s sold can be delivered.
• Maintain relationships with clients to foster repeat business rather than one-off transactions.
