Job summary
A leading vehicle dealership in the UK is seeking an experienced HGV Technician for Nightshift at the Leicester location. The role involves servicing and maintaining trucks, carrying out inspections for MOTs, and executing fault diagnostics. Candidates should have experience in commercial vehicle mechanics and be qualified to Level 3 in vehicle maintenance. Qualifications
- Experience in HGV, Commercial Vehicle, LGV, PSV, Heavy Plant, or associated sectors.
- Willingness to transfer skills from Light Commercial or Car Mechanic.
- Served a recognized apprenticeship or training programme.
Responsibilities
- Servicing and maintaining Trucks and Vehicles.
- Carrying out safety inspections and preparing vehicles for MOT.
- Executing fault diagnostics and repairs as per manufacturer’s procedures.
- Conducting road tests when required.
Skills
Previous experience as a Technician / Mechanic
Technical knowledge in vehicle maintenance
Ability to accurately diagnose faults
Skills in following company processes for paperwork
Full UK driving licence
Education
Qualified to Level 3 in Commercial Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
