Job summary

A leading DAF Truck dealer in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced HGV Technician to work on Nightshift at their Leicester dealership. The role includes servicing and maintaining a variety of Trucks, performing safety inspections, and fault diagnostics. Ideal candidates will have experience in HGV or related areas and a Level 3 qualification in vehicle maintenance. The position offers excellent hourly rates, overtime opportunities, and comprehensive training programs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Technician / Mechanic in HGV or associated sectors.
• Ideally completed a recognised apprenticeship.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and maintaining a wide variety of Trucks and Vehicles.
• Carrying out safety inspections and preparing vehicles for MOT's.
• Ensuring repairs are carried out according to manufacturer’s procedures.

Skills

Technical knowledge in HGV maintenance

Fault diagnosis skills

Understanding of manufacturer’s procedures

Ability to participate in breakdowns

Education

Level 3 qualification in Commercial Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
