Profile

Our client is well-established within the Legionella / Water Treatment industry, providing the full range of services to a range of commercial, industrial and public sector clients across the UK. Due to business requirements, they are now looking for a hardworking and keen Legionella Risk Assessor/Water Treatment Engineer to undertake legionella risk assessments in line with ACOP L8 guidelines, as well as temperature monitoring, sampling and chlorination’s on a mixed portfolio of sites. Applications will be considered from: Aylesbury, Bedford, Bishop’s Stortford, Enfield, Harlow, Hemel Hempstead, Hertford, Hitchin, Luton, Milton Keynes, North London, St Albans, Stevenage.

Experience & Qualifications

• Will ideally hold the city and guilds or WMS Legionella Risk Assessing qualifications.
• Will have extensive experience undertaking Legionella Risk Assessments in line with ACOP L8 guidelines.
• Must have good working knowledge of chemical treatment of cooling towers and stem boilers.
• Must have good communication skills both written and verbal.
• Will be proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Will ideally have a proven track record of working within the water treatment industry.

The Role

• Undertaking Legionella Risk Assessments on a mix of sites in line with ACOP L8 guidelines.
• Producing schematic drawings and reports using information from site to produce for clients.
• Providing clients with recommendations and prices for remedial works, routine control, quotes and undertaking works based on risk assessments.
• Undertaking monthly temperature monitoring, testing and surveys of water systems and supplies.
• Carrying out cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold- water systems, tank cleans refurbishment and disinfections.
• Building and maintaining good working relationships with clients.
• Ensuring that all work is carried out under relevant Health and Safety legislations and ACOP L8 guidelines.
• Ensuring all work is completed in a timely manner and dealing with issues effectively.
