Job summary

A prominent construction business in London is seeking a Commercial Lawyer to join their in-house legal team. This dynamic company, with over 100 years of history, is looking for a driven lawyer with 2-6 years PQE to handle various legal responsibilities. The successful candidate will work within a collaborative team, supporting significant contractual agreements and ensuring compliance with legislation in line with the company's goals towards sustainability and Net Zero by 2030.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2-6 years PQE, qualified with SRA or CILEX.
  • Experience in handling professional service agreements, consultancy agreements, and framework agreements is required.
  • Capable of liaising with various internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Taking responsibility for a range of legal responsibilities, including framework agreements, consultancy agreements, professional service agreements, deeds of novation/variation, confidentiality agreements.
  • Assisting on dispute resolution, contract management, and legal research.
  • Monitoring changes in legislation to ensure policies, documents, and procedures are kept up-to-date with the law.

Due to their impressive recent growth, this established Construction Business are searching for a Commercial Lawyer to add to their in-house legal team of 10 based in Central London.

The Role
Working within a collaborative team of 10 legal professionals, you will report into the Head of Legal, taking responsibility for a range of legal responsibilities, incl; framework agreements, consultancy agreements, professional service agreements, deeds of novation/variation, confidentiality agreements and various other legal documents.
You will also assist on dispute resolution, contract management, legal research and much more. You will also monitor changes in legislation, ensuing that policies, documents and procedures are kept up-to-date with the law.


Requirements

  • 2-6 years PQE (SRA or CILEX)
  • Experience with professional service agreements, consultancy agreements, framework agreements
  • Able to liaise with various internal & external stakeholders
