Location: Rush Green Campus, Romford, Greater London
Salary: £26,514 - £46,307 per annum, inclusive of London Weighting (dependent on qualifications and experience)
Contract: Permanent, Full Time

Overview

We are recruiting a Lecturer – ESOL to join our ESOL Department at Rush Green Campus, preparing young people and adults to enter the workforce. The role involves inspiring, mentoring, and delivering high‑quality teaching across our department’s courses.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and develop lessons, including schemes of work.
  • Develop and implement learner‑centred assessment methods with a focus on constructive feedback.
  • Encourage, monitor and report on attendance, progress and achievements.
  • Ensure a safe working environment and enforce health and safety standards.
  • Provide personal coaching and pastoral support to designated students.
  • Keep abreast of industry developments to maintain relevance and employability of students.
  • Participate actively in continued professional development.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
  • Hold a teaching qualification and have experience in the Further or Higher Education sectors; OR
  • Have a Level 3 qualification in the subject relevant to the courses you will deliver, and be prepared to undertake a Further Education teaching qualification with our support as part of our Passport to Teaching programme.
  • Good administrative skills, accurate tracking of attendance, progress and achievements.
  • Passion for upskilling the future generation in your subject.
