A prominent educational institution in Cambridge is seeking a Learning Support Mentor to support students across the campus. The role involves empowering young people to achieve their educational goals and assisting them with accessing the curriculum. Candidates should be flexible, empathetic, and possess a GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths. Experience with students with special educational needs would be an advantage. Cambridge Regional College are currently recruiting for a Learning Support Mentor to join Creative Industry department across our Cambridge Campus. You will join us on a full time (37 hours), term time only basis and in return will receive a salary of £21,355 per annum, equivalent to a full time, full year salary of £24,577 per annum, plus staff benefits.

You will work with teachers to raise the learning and attainment of young people while promoting their social inclusion, self-esteem and independence.
You will get the opportunity to support students in all vocational areas of the college and assist them to access the curriculum, participate in learning and fulfil their potential.
You will need to be able to use your own initiative while out in support of learners, dealing with situations with tact and empathy.
The need to be flexible in your approach is imperative.
You will need to be qualified to GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths and ideally have experience of working with people with SEND.
