This is your opportunity to join a small, independent specialist school designed specifically for children with communication difficulties typically associated with Autism spectrum conditions. This warm and welcoming school is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join their team ASAP. The role is needed due to a current team member retiring after 25 years. The school has character and offers facilities including an on-site kitchen, a fully equipped music room, and an outdoor space with a trim trail and on-site Forest School.

The setting currently supports 85+ pupils aged 4 to 16 years, offering tailored 1:1 education that aims to positively change lives. It is recognised as a calm and nurturing environment in which learners can thrive.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting in the delivery of engaging and interactive lessons and educational activities
  • Supporting learners with SEN on a 1:1, small group and whole class basis
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Relevant SEN experience
  • Experience (voluntary or paid) working with children and young adults
  • GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
  • Eligibility to work in the UK

Details

This position is full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:30am–4:30pm. Interview dates are planned for the week before September. Interviews will be conducted in stages as part of the selection process.
