Job summary

Supply Desk is partnering with a welcoming primary school in West Drayton to recruit a Learning Support Assistant (LSA). This full-time role supports pupils in the classroom and through targeted interventions, working closely with the class teacher.

Ideal candidates are patient, proactive, and able to build strong relationships with children and staff. Previous school-based experience and safeguarding knowledge are highly valued for ongoing development and long-term stability.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with children (school-based experience desirable)

Responsibilities

  • Supporting pupils’ learning in the classroom, both 1:1 and in small groups
  • Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and preparation of resources
  • Providing targeted support for pupils with additional needs (SEN)
  • Encouraging pupils’ confidence, independence, and engagement in learning
  • Supporting pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development
  • Helping to maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
  • Monitoring and reporting on pupil progress to the class teacher
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, staff, and external professionals

Supply Desk is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in West Drayton to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA). The Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support pupils’ learning, both in the classroom and through targeted interventions. You will play a key role in helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting pupils’ learning in the classroom, both 1:1 and in small groups
  • Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and preparation of resources
  • Providing targeted support for pupils with additional needs (SEN)
  • Encouraging pupils’ confidence, independence, and engagement in learning
  • Supporting pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development
  • Helping to maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
  • Monitoring and reporting on pupil progress to the class teacher

Requirements
