Job summary

Supply Desk is partnering with a welcoming primary school in Maidenhead to appoint a dedicated Learning Support Assistant. This full-time role starts ASAP/September and offers a long-term opportunity to support pupils learning and development in a nurturing environment.

As LSA you will work closely with teachers, delivering 1:1 and small-group support, assist with resources, and help pupils with SEN. You will contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom and monitor progress while forming strong

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children in a school setting is desirable.
  • Patient, supportive, and positive approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Interest in SEN is beneficial.
  • Commitment to working full-time in Maidenhead from September.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting pupils learning in the classroom, both 1:1 and in small groups.

Supply Desk is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in the HP12 area to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA). This is a fantastic opportunity to join a nurturing school environment and make a real difference in supporting pupils learning and development.

This role would suit a patient, caring, and proactive individual who is passionate about helping children reach their full potential and thrive in the classroom.

The Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support pupils learning, both in the classroom and through targeted interventions. You will play a key role in helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting pupils learning in the classroom, both 1:1 and in small groups
  • Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and preparation of resources
  • Providing targeted support for pupils with additional needs (SEN)
  • Encouraging pupils confidence, independence, and engagement in learning
  • Supporting pupils social, emotional, and behavioural development

Requirements
  • Previous experience working with children (school-based experience desirable)
  • A patient, supportive, and positive approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff
  • A genuine passion for supporting children s development
  • Ability to work full-time in Maidenhead from September
Desirable:
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEN
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, Teaching Assistant qualification)
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
