Job summary

TimePlan Education is partnering with a welcoming primary school in Daventry to recruit a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) for a full-time role starting in September. The school values inclusivity and supports pupils to reach their full potential.

You will work with teachers and the SEND team to provide personalised support, guiding students with diverse needs and helping them access the curriculum. A patient, communicative approach and Enhanced DBS (Update Service) are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children in a primary school or similar setting.
  • Willingness to obtain Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
  • Excellent communication with pupils, parents and staff.
  • Able to work collaboratively with teachers and SEND team.

The Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils across the primary age range, both in class and through small group or 1:1 interventions.
  • Help children with additional learning, emotional or behavioural needs to access the curriculum.
  • Work closely with teachers and the SEND team to deliver personalised support.
  • Encourage confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Has experience working with children in a primary school or similar setting.
  • Is patient, caring and enthusiastic about supporting young learners.
  • Has a good understanding of SEND and inclusive classroom practices.
  • Is an excellent communicator and enjoys working collaboratively.
  • Holds (or is willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
