Job summary

Teaching Personnel seeks a Learning Support Assistant for a primary school in Alton. You will work with Year R–6 to support children with varying learning needs. The role runs 8:30am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday, and is part-time.

Start date is October/November 2026. An enhanced child-only DBS and additional vetting checks are required. You will be supported by a dedicated consultant and have access to ongoing professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience working with primary children (KS1–KS2).
• Caring, patient and adaptable approach.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• SEN experience is a plus but not required.
• Passion for helping children learn and grow.
• Basic safeguarding knowledge (CPD training provided).

Responsibilities

• Supporting individual pupils inside and out of the classroom.

About the Role:
One of our lovely primary schools based in Alton is looking for a passionate, dedicated and motivated LSA to work alongside the Year R – 6 teams to support a variety of children with different learning abilities and needs.

Start Date: October/November 2026
Salary: £92.63 a day

Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm Monday to Friday (part time)

To be considered you must obtain an enhanced child only DBS and complete additional vetting checks.

• Supporting pupils with additional needs to develop emotional and academically

• Experience working with primary children (KS1 – KS2)

• Experience supporting SEN children is desired but not essential
• A genuine passion for helping children learn and grow
• Basic knowledge of safeguarding and child protection principles (CPD training provided)
