Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant for a friendly primary school based in Fair Oak, Southampton. You will work alongside the class teacher to support pupils with small group work, 1:1 support, and assist with trips and playground duties.

The role offers a full-time schedule, Monday to Friday, with a daily rate of £92.63 and potential for permanent appointment after vetting and training.

Qualifications

  • Experience as Learning Support Assistant or similar education support role is essential
  • Experience with SEN is beneficial
  • Calm, resilient and flexible in a team to support pupils in KS1 or KS2
  • Passionate about supporting children's learning and development
  • Confident working 1:1 and in small groups with pupils
  • Able to build strong, nurturing relationships with pupils and staff
  • Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant looking to make a real difference in an engaging primary school?

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant for a friendly and supportive primary school based in Fair Oak. The school is offering a rewarding role where you’ll play a vital part in helping young learners thrive. Working alongside the class teacher to best meet the needs of the children, your role will involve small group work, 1-1 support, school trips and playground and lunchtime duties.

The educator will be passionate about supporting children and helping them to develop independence.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar education support role is essential
  • Experience with SEN children is beneficial
  • Calm, resilient and flexible in their approach to working within a team to support pupils in Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2.
  • Passionate about supporting children's learning and development
  • Confident working 1:1 and in small groups with pupils
  • Able to build strong, nurturing relationships with pupils and staff
