Job summary

Teaching Personnel are recruiting Learning Support Assistants to work across primary schools in Loughborough from September 2026. You will support pupils with diverse needs, helping them engage with lessons and build confidence.

The role offers flexible day-to-day, short-term and long-term placements with a dedicated consultant, ongoing CPD, and a straightforward registration process to start your placements quickly.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children in a school, nursery or similar setting.
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEN.
  • Confident providing 1:1 and small-group support.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Reliable, adaptable and able to build positive relationships.

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for enthusiastic and experienced Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work across primary schools in Loughborough from September 2026.

The Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you may be supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to engage with lessons, develop their confidence and make progress academically and socially.

Responsibilities
  • Providing 1:1 support to pupils with SEN and additional needs
  • Delivering and supporting small-group interventions
  • Assisting teachers with classroom activities and learning
  • Supporting pupils with their social, emotional and academic development
  • Helping to manage behaviour positively and effectively
  • Working closely with teachers and the wider school team
  • Adapting support to meet individual pupils' needs
  • Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
About You
  • Have previous experience working with children in a school, nursery or similar setting
  • Have experience supporting pupils with SEN
  • Are confident providing both 1:1 and small-group support
  • Are patient, caring and approachable
  • Have strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Are passionate about supporting children's learning and development
  • Are reliable, adaptable and able to build positive relationships

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
