Job summary

Peak Education Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Learning and Behaviour Mentor for an immediate start at a vibrant primary school in Tower Hamlets. The role is full-time, long-term, term-time only, with daily rates of £100–£115 umbrella, DOE, and the opportunity to support pupils’ emotional development and learning.

You will provide 1:1 and small-group mentoring, help pupils regulate emotions, build confidence and resilience, and work closely with teachers, the SEN team and families to remove

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS on Update Service (essential)
• Degree desirable
• Experience supporting children or young people in schools, mentoring or youth settings
• Calm, patient and empathetic approach
• Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport quickly
• Confidence supporting pupils with additional needs
• Professional understanding of safeguarding and pastoral processes
• Available to start immediately

Responsibilities

• Support emotional regulation, social skills and engagement in lessons
• Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, families and staff

• Work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral staff and external agencies
• Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding procedures at all times

About the Role

You’ll be supporting pupils who need a little extra help to stay engaged, regulate emotions and build positive learning habits. Working alongside teachers, pastoral leads and the SEN team, you’ll be part of the school’s wider effort to remove barriers and strengthen pupil wellbeing.
