Job summary

Reeson Education is seeking a Learning Mentor for a primary school in Brent, to start from October 2026. The role focuses on supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, helping with academic, social and emotional development. The successful candidate will promote wellbeing, positive behaviour and resilience.

Ideal candidates may have a psychology background and a passion for working with children, with a collaborative approach alongside teachers, SEN staff and social workers.

KS1 and KS2 Learning Mentor - Primary School - Brent

Commencing - October 2026

Are you passionate about helping children grow academically, socially and emotionally?
We are looking for a warm, committed and enthusiastic Learning Mentor to join our friendly primary school team from October 2026, supporting pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

About this Learning Mentor Role

As a Learning Mentor, you will work closely with pupils who need extra guidance to help them overcome barriers to learning. You will support their emotional wellbeing, encourage positive behaviour, and help them build confidence and resilience so they can achieve their best. This role would be particularly suited to a psychology graduate or someone interested in social care.

Key Responsibilities of a Learning Mentor

What We're Looking For

• A proactive, reliable and compassionate learning mentor who genuinely enjoys working with children
• Patience, emotional maturity and the ability to remain calm under pressure
• Common sense and a working knowledge of safeguarding
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships quickly
• Experience in schools, childcare, youth work or mentoring (desirable, not essential)
• Good general knowledge in English and Maths to support pupils confidently
