Job summary

Senploy is partnering with a Tower Hamlets primary school to appoint an Learning and Behaviour Mentor who can start immediately. The role is full-time, term-time only, with a daily rate of £110-£135 (DOE) and umbrella arrangement.

You will provide 1:1 and small-group mentoring to pupils needing pastoral or emotional support, support emotional regulation, build learning habits, and work with teachers and the SEN team to remove barriers and promote wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is essential.
• Experience supporting children or young people in schools, mentoring or youth settings.
• Strong communication and ability to build rapport quickly.
• Calm, patient and empathetic approach; safeguarding knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small‑group mentoring for pupils needing additional pastoral or emotional support.
• Help children develop confidence, resilience and positive behaviour routines.
• Support emotional regulation, social skills and engagement in lessons.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, families and staff.
• Deliver tailored interventions and track progress.
• Promote positive behaviour and act as a calm, consistent role model.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral staff and external agencies.
• Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding procedures at all times.

About The Role
