Job summary

Supply Desk is seeking a compassionate Learning Mentor for a school in Chichester. You will provide 1:1 and small group support, build positive relationships with pupils, and help develop confidence and resilience while working with teachers and SEND professionals.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children or young people is desirable.
  • Experience supporting SEND, SEMH or behavioural needs would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

Position: Learning Mentor

Location: Chichester

Start Date: ASAP / September 2026

Contract Type: Full-Time Long-Term

Pay Rate: £85 £100 per day

Sometimes the biggest difference isn't made at the front of the classroom - it's made by the person standing beside a child when they need support most.

Supply Desk is looking for a compassionate and inspiring Learning Mentor to join a supportive school in Chichester. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with pupils who require additional emotional, behavioural or learning support, helping them develop confidence, resilience and the skills they need to succeed.

You’ll build positive relationships with pupils, providing encouragement and consistency while working alongside teachers and pastoral staff to remove barriers to learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ability to remain calm when managing challenging situations.
  • Genuine passion for helping young people achieve their potential.
  • DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
