Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a Learning Mentor for a specialist SEN School & College in Bury. The role is full-time, supporting students aged 11-19 with diverse needs across secondary and post-16 education.

You'll build relationships, provide 1:1 and small group mentoring, support behaviour and social development, and collaborate with teaching staff to create an inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in education, care, youth work, residential care, support work, or similar settings.
• Patient, empathetic and resilient approach.
• Confidence supporting individuals with additional needs and challenging behaviours.
• Willingness to provide personal care when required.

Responsibilities

• Build positive and trusting relationships with young people.

• Support students with social, emotional, behavioural, and learning barriers.
• Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies.
• Assist students to develop communication, social, and life skills.

Are you passionate about supporting young people to overcome barriers, build confidence, and achieve their goals?

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and resilient Learning Mentor to join a specialist SEN School and College in Bury. This rewarding full-time role involves supporting young people aged 11-19 with a range of additional and complex needs across both secondary and post-16 education.

As a Learning Mentor, you'll be a positive role model, helping students develop the skills, confidence, and independence they need to thrive both in education and in everyday life.

Responsibilities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
