Purpose of the role

We are seeking an experienced Learning & Development Partner to join our HR Support Services team at our Head Office in Solihull (B37 7YB), with UK travel required. You will be responsible for delivering our training strategy, ensuring compliance, and supporting growth across all levels of the organization. This role offers an opportunity to shape the future of learning at Colas, working with internal stakeholders and external partners to build capability and support career development.

Main Responsibilities

Identify and prioritize training needs with business leaders, manage training requests, support the implementation of the L&D strategy, design and deliver leadership and management programs, evaluate training effectiveness, manage relationships with training providers, support apprenticeship and graduate programs, and maintain training matrices aligned with the Learning Management System. Contribute to continuous improvement of L&D processes, systems, and policies.

Ideal Candidate

Minimum CIPD Level 3 qualification in Learning and Development, proven experience in a consultative or specialist L&D role, strong understanding of the full learning cycle and talent development, excellent organizational and stakeholder management skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems, experience managing multiple projects, knowledge of apprenticeship schemes and funding is desirable. Construction or industrial sector experience is a plus but not essential.
