Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Workshop Controller within a franchised dealership environment.
• Record of improving workshop productivity and efficiency.
• Strong understanding of workshop planning, labour management and workflow optimisation.
• Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of warranty processes and manufacturer systems is desirable.
• Previous management qualifications are advantageous.
• Customer-focused approach with strong commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily workshop operations including load management and capacity planning to maximise productivity.
• Allocate work effectively according to technician skills and workload as the Workshop Controller.
• Monitor and improve workshop efficiency and utilisation during each shift.
• Lead, motivate, and develop technicians through coaching and performance management.
• Manage workflow to ensure smooth job progression and minimise delays.
• Maintain high service quality standards and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with manufacturer standards, warranty procedures, and health and safety regulations as the Workshop Controller.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability within the workshop.
• Build strong working relationships with the service team to optimise customer experience.
