Job summary

West Sussex County Council is seeking a Lead Valuation Professional to provide expert advice on property, disposals and acquisitions, and to lead the valuation and estates service across a broad asset base.

You will manage complex projects, supervise staff, and mentor junior colleagues while building relationships with internal teams and external partners. A strong RICS background and post-qualification experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) with significant post qualification experience.
• Post-graduate qualification relevant to Property, Surveying, Estates and Valuation, or equivalent level of significant experience.
• Extensive experience in surveying, property and estate management including landlord and tenant and planning law.

Responsibilities

• Lead valuation and estates service across diverse property assets.
• Advise on disposals, acquisitions, development projects and leases.
• Manage complex property projects with internal and external teams.
• Supervise staff and mentor junior team members.
