Job summary

Homes England is seeking a Chartered Surveyor to lead valuation and appraisal guidance across England, working with colleagues delivering housing and regeneration projects. You will shape the delivery of strategic projects and help manage the annual asset valuations for our £1.2bn portfolio of development land.

You will use development appraisal techniques with Excel and industry software, collaborating across teams and with government priorities to drive value for money.

Qualifications

• Chartered Surveyor with development sector experience.
• Proficient in development appraisal techniques and Excel.
• Experience supporting and advising across housing/regeneration projects in England.

Responsibilities

• Provide project support and peer review of valuations and appraisals.
• Prepare development appraisals and Red Book valuations for internal use.
• Offer specialist input to government priorities such as New Towns or Planning Reforms.
• Help create new tools to support delivery.
• Support surveying professionals and engage with industry bodies (e.g., RICS).
