Job summary

City of Wolverhampton Council is seeking a motivated Valuation Officer to join the Estates Team within the City Assets service. You will provide professional valuations and estate management across the council's property portfolio and support asset management objectives.

The role requires MRICS, a relevant degree, and strong analytical and negotiation skills. Hybrid working with minimum two office days per week is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in property valuation and estate management
• Knowledge of public sector property practices and legislation

Responsibilities

• Undertake valuations in accordance with RICS Valuation – Global Standards (Red Book)
• Assist with property transactions including acquisitions, disposals, and lease renewals
• Provide advice on landlord and tenant matters
• Support the delivery of the Council’s disposal programme
• Maintain accurate property records and tenancy schedules
• Prepare reports and recommendations for senior stakeholders
