Job summary

Leonardo in Lincoln is seeking a Lead Supportability Engineer to guide a team across the full programme lifecycle, from bid through customer support to disposal. You will drive proactive analysis with cross-functional colleagues in Systems, Electronics, Mechanical, Software and Quality to prevent issues before production.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Supportability Engineers delivering diverse work packages.
• Advise IPTs on Supportability requirements and provide analyses.
• Develop reliability models for electronic, power, RF, digital and mechanical systems.
• Create Reliability Growth plans and corrective actions.
• Perform Maintainability analysis including Human Factors and Maintenance Task Analysis.
• Complete FMECA with hardware teams to improve fault detection.
• Contribute to Product Safety analyses with Design Integrity.
• Analyze production and in-service failure data (FRACAS) to identify root causes.
• Help shape in-service support strategies and through-life cost modelling.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices.
