Job summary

Amey is seeking a Senior Building Structures Engineer to lead a team within our Advisory portfolio in Consulting. You will deliver robust engineering solutions, oversee designs, calculations, drawings, and documentation to meet quality, cost and programme targets, and enjoy on-site work when required.

You'll bring demonstrable building structures experience, plus the ability to manage a small team and engage effectively with clients and stakeholders, with Incorporated or Chartered status as a

Qualifications

• Demonstrable building structures experience.
• Experience managing a small team of engineers and technicians.
• Proven technical leadership and design governance, including Eurocodes and Building Regulations.
• Experience with 3D CAD software Tekla Structural Designer and Tekla Tedds.
• Professional engagement with clients and stakeholders.
• Incorporated or Chartered status with a relevant institution.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team delivering technically sound engineering solutions.
• Prepare and check designs, calculations, drawings and documentation.
• Manage project budgets and deliverables.
• Liaise with clients and suppliers at peer level.
• Support bids and workwinning activities.
• Work on site as required.
• Act as people manager when needed.
