Job summary

Amey is seeking a Senior Building Structures Engineer to lead delivery on Built Environment projects. You will oversee teams producing designs, calculations and drawings, ensuring compliance with Eurocodes and Building Regulations.

The role combines on-site and office-based work, with opportunities to advance technical leadership and contribute to bids. Applicants should be Chartered or Incorporated and experienced in Tekla Structural Designer and Tekla Tedds, with a track record of managing

Qualifications

Experience leading a small team of engineers and technicians delivering robust design outputs.
Provision of technical leadership ensuring compliance with standards and design governance.
Experience with Structural Eurocodes and Building Regulations.
Experience using Tekla Structural Designer and Tekla Tedds.

Responsibilities

Lead a team producing technically sound engineering deliverables across built environment projects.
Prepare and check designs, calculations, drawings and documentation meeting quality, cost and programme targets.
Manage project budgets and control costs for deliverables.
Liaise with clients and suppliers, attend progress meetings, respond to queries.
Contribute to bids and work-winning activities.
Work on-site as needed, including out-of-hours and temporary assignments.
Act as people manager when required.
