Job summary

Carlo Lounge, part of Loungers, is hiring a full-time Sous Chef to join the kitchen team. You will support the Head Chef, lead service, and ensure every dish leaving the pass meets high standards. This role offers progression opportunities and a competitive package with bonus and overtime.

Expect a 48-hour contract (40-hour option available), overtime pay, and a range of staff benefits designed to support development and recognition within the Loungers family.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Sous Chef or senior chef leading a kitchen.
• Strong team leadership and organisational skills.
• Ability to maintain high standards on the pass, quality and hygiene.
• Committed to cooking with fresh ingredients.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen shifts with confidence, keeping service smooth from prep through to final plate.
• Support the Head Chef and step in during their absence to deliver strong results.
• Set high standards on the pass for food quality, pace, cleanliness and safety.
• Handle prep, stock, orders and shift handovers to maintain efficiency.
• Coach and develop the team to maintain consistency and growth.
