Job summary

Loungers is seeking a full-time Sous Chef for Bruto Lounge, a local café bar within the Loungers family. A growing hospitality brand with 300+ sites across England and Wales, it offers a competitive salary, bonus, overtime pay, and real progression opportunities.

As Sous Chef you will lead shifts, support the Head Chef, and ensure dishes leaving the pass meet high standards of taste and presentation. The role includes development through in-house training and career progression.

Qualifications

• Experience as Sous Chef or similar role (Sous Chef/Junior Sous Chef/Chef de Partie) to advance.
• Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to high standards and safe kitchen practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen shifts with confidence, ensuring smooth service from prep to final plate.
• Support Head Chef and cover in their absence to maintain consistency.
• Maintain high standards on the pass for quality, pace, cleanliness, hygiene and safety.
• Oversee prep, par, stock, waste, orders and shift handovers.
• Coach and develop chefs to improve skills and results.
