Job summary

Loungers is hiring a full-time Sous Chef for Brunello Lounge, a local café bar. This is part of Loungers, enjoying a strong growth trajectory with real progression opportunities and a competitive package including bonus and paid overtime.

You will lead the kitchen, support the Head Chef, and drive the team to deliver consistent, high‑quality dishes while maintaining food safety and efficiency across service.

Qualifications

• A passionate cook with pride in fresh ingredients and consistent plates.
• A reliable team player who shows up on time and gives their best.
• Leads by example in the kitchen, upholding high standards on the pass.
• Confident taking ownership of a shift in the Head Chef's absence.
• Experience as Sous Chef / Junior Sous Chef / Chef de Partie is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen shifts with confidence, keeping service smooth from prep to plate.
• Be the Head Chef’s right hand, supporting day-to-day operations and stepping in when needed.
• Set the tone for high standards on the pass, ensuring quality, pace, hygiene and safety.
• Own key routines: prep, par, stock, waste, orders and handovers.
• Coach and develop the team to deliver great food every shift.
