Job summary

Loungers is hiring a full-time Sous Chef for Ostello Lounge, a local café bar. You will work directly with the Head Chef, leading shifts and ensuring every dish leaves the pass with pride.

Qualifications

• Experience as Sous Chef, Junior Sous Chef, or Chef de Partie.
• Lead and coach kitchen staff to maintain high standards.
• Ability to take ownership of a shift and manage prep, par and pass.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen shifts with confidence, ensuring smooth service from prep to final plate.
• Support the Head Chef and cover in their absence to maintain strong results.
• Set tone for high standards on the pass: food quality, pace, cleanliness, hygiene and safety.
• Own key routines including prep, par, stock, waste, orders and shift handovers.
• Coach and develop the team to build confidence and deliver great food each shift.
