Job summary

Loungers plc is seeking a skilled Sous Chef for Volpo Lounge, a part of our Casual Dining Group. You’ll lead the kitchen, support the Head Chef, and ensure every plate meets our standards. This permanent, full-time role offers progression, overtime pay, and a generous bonus scheme.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Sous Chef, or equivalent in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Ability to lead a kitchen shift and maintain service standards.
• Excellent knowledge of food safety and hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen shifts with confidence from prep to final plate.
• Support Head Chef and cover in their absence.
• Set high standards on the pass for food quality, pace, cleanliness and safety.
• Take ownership of prep, par, stock, waste, orders and shift handovers.
• Coach and develop the team to deliver great food every shift.
