Job summary

Loungers plc is hiring a full-time Head Chef to lead the kitchen at Volo Lounge, a brand-new site and part of England's successful restaurant group.

You will run the kitchen, recruit and coach the team, uphold high standards, and drive KPIs with GP, food safety and cost control. In return you’ll enjoy a competitive package with bonus, overtime, staff meals, 50% discount on food and drinks from day one and clear career progression.

Qualifications

• Experience as Head Chef, Kitchen Manager or Senior Sous Chef.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills across a kitchen team.
• Exposure to high-volume hospitality environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the kitchen at Volo Lounge, leading every shift from open to close.
• Recruit, develop and coach your kitchen team with clear development plans.
• Know menu specs and kitchen processes inside out to ensure consistency.
• Own a site-level action plan with the General Manager covering food waits, stock counts and cleaning.
• Deliver on KPIs: food quality, wait times, wastage, food safety and GP.
• Schedule rotas aligned to sales and bookings forecasts and ensure smooth shifts.
• Work closely with front of house to build a true one-team culture.
