Job summary

Vickerstock are recruiting a Lead R&D Electronics Engineer for an established technology and engineering business in the Greater Belfast area. The role is senior and hands-on, responsible for leading electronics development from concept through to manufacture.

You will own analogue and digital design, work with software and mechanical teams, and mentor engineers while driving successful introductions of new electronic designs into production.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Electronics Design Engineering or R&D.
• Strong analogue and digital electronics design experience.
• Experience developing complex electronic products or systems.
• Proficient schematic capture and circuit design.
• Good PCB design understanding and hardware development.
• Experience through a structured product development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Take technical ownership of electronic design and development activities.
• Design and develop analogue and digital circuitry.
• Develop solutions from concept through testing and validation.
• Produce and review schematics and documentation.
• Support PCB design and development activities.
• Select and integrate electronic components and technologies.
• Develop prototypes and lead testing and validation.
• Investigate problems and deliver effective solutions.
• Provide technical guidance to other engineers.
• Collaborate with Software and Mechanical teams throughout development.
• Support continuous improvement of existing products.
• Lead successful introduction of designs into manufacture.
