A leading engineering firm is recruiting a Lead Planner to support a portfolio of high-profile projects across the UK. Based primarily out of Aberdeen, the role requires hybrid working with three days in the office. You will develop project schedules, ensuring alignment with contractual obligations and coordinating effectively across diverse teams. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in planning roles, a deep understanding of risk management, and proficiency in scheduling software like Primavera.

Wood is recruiting for a Lead Planner to support across a portfolio of high-profile EPCm projects in the UK.
There is a requirement for hybrid working with three days in one of our Hub offices. As this position is mainly to support an Aberdeen based project the preference would be to be based out of our Aberdeen office. However, we will also consider applications from Glasgow, Stockton or Staines.
This is for a 12-month contract on a ltd co basis out with IR35.
Please note applicants must be able to pass HMG Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check.
The Lead Planner will be accountable for the development of project schedules and plans, ensuring they are prepared to the required level of detail and accuracy and accordance with contractual requirements and Wood policies, procedures, and standards.
As the Lead Planner you will be responsible for delivering an appropriately detailed and robust project schedule based on the Control Estimate and incorporating any agreed changes, preparing weekly short-term lookaheads for each discipline to ensure effective planning and execution.
Additionally, the position requires forecasting and trending using performance indicators to monitor progress and anticipate potential issues. Acting as the primary point of contact for all planning requirements, the role ensures clear communication and coordination across the project.
This is an ideal role for an experienced Lead Planner experienced in managing the Planning across a portfolio of brownfield EPCm projects.
