Job summary

Zest in Cambridgeshire is seeking a Multi-Skilled Shift Lead Engineer to join the engineering team. This hands-on role requires you to own the shift, lead a small team, perform repairs and PM work, and keep equipment running smoothly.

You will be the main point of contact for the shift on a 4 on 4 off days pattern, with real opportunity for training and development from senior management.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 required, ideally with Electrical Level 3.
• Multi-skilled engineering capability with hands-on approach.
• Proactive leader who can set an example on the shop floor.
• Experience in food or FMCG manufacturing is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a small team of engineers on a 4 on 4 off days shift.

Location: Cambridgeshire (commutable from Peterborough, Huntingdon, St Neots, Wisbech, March, Stamford, Spalding, Whittlesey, Ramsey and surrounding areas) | Salary: Up to £50,000 | Shift: 4 on 4 off, Days

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established food manufacturing business in Cambridgeshire for a Multi-Skilled Shift Lead Engineer to join their engineering team.

This is a hands-on role where you'll take ownership of your shift, leading a small team while staying close to the tools. You'll be responsible for repairs, planned maintenance, and keeping things running smoothly, with real scope to shape how the shift operates.

The Role:

What We're Looking For:

• Multi-skilled engineer
• NVQ Level 2 or 3, ideally with a Level 3 in Electrical
