Job summary

Zest is seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer for its King's Lynn site to maintain high-speed production and packaging lines, carry out planned and reactive maintenance, and support continuous improvement and safety standards.

The role requires an engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent), solid mechanical and electrical fault-finding experience, and a willingness to work a 12-hour rotating shift covering days and nights. There are clear progression and benefits on offer.

Qualifications

• A recognised engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent apprenticeship)
• Multi-skilled engineering background with solid mechanical and electrical fault-finding experience
• Experience within FMCG, food manufacturing, or a similarly fast-paced production environment
• Willingness to work a 12-hour rotating shift (days and nights)
• Proactive, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across a range of high-speed production and packaging equipment
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical breakdowns, minimising downtime
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to support continuous improvement

Salary: c.£55,000 + overtime + benefits Shift Pattern: 12 hours, rotating days and nights

Commutable from: King's Lynn, Downham Market, Wisbech, Swaffham, Fakenham, Long Sutton

Our client is a well-established food manufacturing business based in King's Lynn, supplying major retailers across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add a Multi-Skilled Engineer to their engineering team.

The Role

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across a range of high-speed production and packaging equipment
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical breakdowns, minimising downtime
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to support continuous improvement
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with food safety standards

What We're Looking For
