Job summary

Shift: Days & Nights

We are currently looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a busy food manufacturing environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on engineer looking for a challenging role within a fast‑paced production facility, where you will play a key part in keeping the site running safely and efficiently.

The Role

As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will be responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance of a wide range of production machinery and site services. You will work closely with the production team to minimise downtime and ensure equipment is maintained to a high standard.

Key responsibilities include:

• Carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance.
• Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults.
• Supporting production to minimise equipment downtime.
• Working on a variety of food manufacturing and processing machinery.
• Completing maintenance records and reporting faults appropriately.
• Supporting continuous improvement and equipment reliability.
• Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health & safety and food hygiene standards.
• Working effectively as part of a wider engineering and production team.

About You

We are looking for a qualified and experienced engineer with a strong electrical and mechanical skill set, ideally with previous experience within food manufacturing, FMCG or a similar production environment.

You should be:

• Multi-skilled with strong electrical and mechanical capabilities.
• Experienced in fault finding and preventative maintenance.
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible and willing to work a days and nights shift pattern.
• Safety-conscious with a proactive approach to maintenance.
• Ideally qualified to NVQ Level 3 / ONC / HNC or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
