Job summary

Holdich Recruitment is recruiting for a Multi-skilled Shift Engineer in the Thetford area. You will join a six‑person engineering team, working a 4 on 4 off, 12‑hour shift pattern, to maintain and fault-find across site machinery and assist in installing new equipment.

Qualifications

• Multi-skilled maintenance engineering experience.
• Relevant mechanical/electrical qualifications.
• Strong fault finding ability both electrically and mechanically.

Our client is an established, international food related (FMCG) manufacturer based in the Thetford area. The company has 8 manufacturing operations in the UK and Europe and is one of the leading manufacturers in its field with an annual turnover of £40 million, employing a loyal, dedicated and motivated team of around 80 staff.

Position Overview

We are looking for a Multi‑skilled Shift Engineer to join our engineering team of six (4 on 4 off, 12 hour shifts). Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will work across the site to provide reactive and planned preventative maintenance, maintain various production machinery, fault find both electrically (PLC faultfinding) and mechanically, and assist in installing new machinery.
