Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an Engineering Design Manager to lead design input across a range of critical national infrastructure projects. You will work with clients to ensure designs are buildable, compliant, and efficient, guiding multi-disciplinary teams from early concepts through to delivery.

The role emphasizes collaboration with engineers, consultants, and stakeholders, with a focus on innovative, practical solutions and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience managing design through full project lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of integrated design delivery and consultant performance.
• Knowledge and experience of BIM and common data environments.
• Degree in engineering; Chartered status preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design input on multi-disciplinary projects from concept to delivery.
• Manage external design consultants and interfaces, ensuring constructability.
• Coordinate with Clients, Project Managers and Contractors on issues and scope changes.
• Drive innovative, practical, and sustainable engineering solutions.
• Embed health, safety, and environmental considerations into all designs.
