Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead multi-disciplinary design input on critical national infrastructure projects. You will work closely with clients to ensure designs are buildable, compliant, innovative and efficient across civil, structural, mechanical and electrical domains.

You will manage multi-disciplinary teams of engineers, coordinate with consultants and contractors, and drive sustainable engineering solutions while embedding health and safety fundamentals

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years managing design through the full project lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of integrated design delivery and managing consultant performance.
• Knowledge and experience of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and common data environments.
• Degree qualification in engineering (Mechanical or Building Services).
• Chartered Engineer status preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical assurance and manage design interfaces across multi-disciplinary teams.
• Coordinate design input with Project Manager, clients, consultants and contractors.
• Ensure designs are buildable, compliant, innovative and efficient.
• Embed health, safety and environmental considerations into engineering solutions.
• Drive innovative and sustainable engineering solutions across projects.
