Job summary

Heron Hall Academy is seeking an ambitious Lead Practitioner of Mathematics to lead high-quality teaching and learning within the Mathematics department. You will deliver engaging, inclusive lessons, support pupils to progress, and work with leadership to drive curriculum development.

The role emphasises leading colleagues, modelling best practice, and contributing to school-wide improvement while safeguarding and inclusion remain central to the culture.

Qualifications

• Must hold QTS and recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Mathematics across Key Stages 3-5.
• Ability to plan engaging, inclusive lessons and use assessment to improve outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support colleagues, modelling effective teaching and sharing best practice.
• Contribute to curriculum development and whole-school improvement in Mathematics.
• Lead by example to raise standards of teaching and pupil outcomes.
