Heron Hall Academy seeks an ambitious Lead Practitioner of Mathematics to drive high-quality teaching across the Maths department. You will deliver engaging, inclusive lessons, support pupil progress, and model excellent practice for colleagues.
Collaborating with the Head of Mathematics and curriculum team, you will identify priorities, shape the Maths curriculum, and uphold safeguarding and pupil wellbeing while raising standards across Key Stages 3–5.

We are looking for an ambitious and inspiring Lead Practitioner of Mathematics to join Heron Hall Academy and play a key role in developing high-quality teaching and learning across the Mathematics department.
You will deliver engaging, inclusive and challenging Mathematics lessons, creating a positive classroom environment where every pupil is supported to make strong progress and develop confidence in the subject. Through excellent planning, adaptive teaching, effective assessment and strong subject knowledge, you will help pupils develop their mathematical fluency, reasoning and problem-solving skills.
As a Lead Practitioner, you will also have an important role in leading and supporting colleagues, modelling effective teaching practice, sharing ideas and contributing to the continued development of the Mathematics curriculum. Working closely with the Head of Mathematics and wider curriculum team, you will help identify priorities, promote best practice and contribute to high standards of teaching and pupil outcomes.
