Job summary

Heron Hall Academy seeks an ambitious Lead Practitioner of Mathematics to drive high-quality teaching across the Maths department. You will deliver engaging, inclusive lessons, support pupil progress, and model excellent practice for colleagues.

Collaborating with the Head of Mathematics and curriculum team, you will identify priorities, shape the Maths curriculum, and uphold safeguarding and pupil wellbeing while raising standards across Key Stages 3–5.

Qualifications

• Strong subject knowledge of Mathematics.
• QTS and recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Mathematics across Key Stages 3-5.
• Ability to plan engaging, inclusive lessons.
• Experience using assessment data to improve outcomes.
• Proven classroom management and safeguarding focus.
• Experience contributing to curriculum development and school improvement.
• Ability to coach and support colleagues in teaching Mathematics.
