As part of our Emergency Response Team, you’ll be the first on the scene at customers’ homes, representing our brand for those concerned about potential gas leaks or activated carbon monoxide alarms.
You’ll sometimes coordinate with emergency services, playing a vital role in protecting lives. The role involves assisting vulnerable, elderly, or customers seeking help, requiring empathy and pride in caring for people and ensuring their safety at home.
The role is varied, including installation, replacement, and maintenance of gas meters for residential and business customers, conducting high-rise and safety surveys, and fitting cooker safety valves.
Essential skills include excellent communication and composure under pressure. Candidates must hold a CCN1 or CMA1 qualification; a MET1 qualification is advantageous but not mandatory. Experience with gas environments, appliances, testing, purging, and pipework commissioning is required.
An understanding of relevant standards, legislation, codes of practice, and health and safety is crucial, along with a full UK driving license. We value pride, purpose, quick thinking, and ownership, which are key to fitting into our team.
