As part of our Emergency Response Team, you’ll be the first on the scene at customers’ homes, making you the face of our brand for people worried about potential gas escapes or carbon monoxide alarms.
Sometimes, you’ll deal with emergency services on behalf of our customers, protecting lives. Customers may be vulnerable, elderly, or seeking help. Your empathy and pride in caring for people and ensuring their safety could define you as a Cadent team member.
This role is varied: from installing, replacing, and maintaining gas meters for residential and commercial customers, to conducting high-rise and gas safety regulation surveys, and fitting cooker safety valves.
We seek excellent communication skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure. You must hold a CCN1 or CMA1 qualification to apply. A MET1 qualification is a plus but not required. Experience with gas environments, including knowledge of gas appliances, testing, purging, and pipework commissioning, is essential.
An understanding of Standards, Legislation, Codes of Practice, and Health and Safety is important. A full UK driving license is required. Ultimately, pride, purpose, quick thinking, and ownership are key qualities for success in our team.
